A novella of sensuality, mythic people and gods from the past, Immortal Treasure was dazzling. Khafeel was not the average chest-beating hero of romance novels. O.K., maybe he was, just a little. Instead of the classic gorgeous picture of a man, I had more of a sense of who Khafeel really was as a person. I rather enjoyed that aspect of the novel. I could easily imprint my picture of what Khafeel looked like, but his personality and beliefs shined through. What I found interesting was how Ms. Dane did not use the same characterization for Dr. Linsey. Her image and personality were clear from the start. Pairing these two characters together was a fabulous idea and I'm not saying that because of their sex life. Even though, they had a tumultuous time in bed, they did not do it too often.
